A proposito del rapporto “Sulla necessità di una condanna internazionale dei crimini del comunismo” dell’Assemblea Parlamentare del Consiglio d’Europa

Al Presidente dell’Assemblea Parlamentare del Consiglio d’Europa

Onorevole Presidente!

Noi, in rappresentanza dei partiti comunisti, operai e di sinistra di Europa, Asia, Africa e America Latina, riuniti nell’Incontro internazionale nella capitale della Grecia, Atene, ci rivolgiamo a Lei con la richiesta di porre fine ad una provocazione politica, recedendo dall’esame del rapporto “Sulla necessità di una condanna internazionale dei crimini del comunismo”.

La discussione in merito a tale questione nella seduta della commissione politica del 13 settembre u.s. svoltasi a Parigi, ha dimostrato quanto l’anticomunismo primitivo sia estraneo a qualsiasi persona dotata di buon senso. Ciononostante, a quanto ne sappiamo, i promotori di tale rapporto non sembrano recedere dall’intenzione di ripresentarlo nell’immediato futuro.

La invitiamo, signor Presidente, a far cessare questi tentativi e a non attribuire all’Assemblea Parlamentare del Consiglio d’Europa quelle prerogative da tribunale che non le sono consone.
